Fyfe Dangerfield is perhaps best known as the frontman & chief songwriter of cinematic-pop band Guillemots, whose debut 2006 album “Through the Windowpane” was shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize.
Over the past decade or so, he’s been harvesting a vast & mysterious body of STUFF, spanning the full ecstatic spectrum of creative colour.
The first fruits of this blossoming universe were shared in 2018, in the beguiling series “Birdwatcher” – twelve dreamlike episodes of music, songs, sounds & surreal conversation, each with accompanying artworks & “menus”, available to listen to for free via Dangerfield’s new broadcast HQ & production house: Channels May Change (www.channelsmaychange.com)
Now, following a tantalising breadcrumb trail of one-off singles, music videos, archive releases, instagram track snippets, and even an album of piano improvisations recorded on an iPhone .. Dangerfield has unveiled Channels May Change’s latest innovative venture “The Stream“; a never-ending, constantly evolving lighthouse transmission .. a living, breathing album in the form of a radio station, broadcasting 24/7, with the running order curated by Chance.
2026 now sees the Channels May Change Universe expanding ever more, with all manner of record releases, live happenings & assorted goodies on the way ..
